Fire Risk Analysis
A good starting point for planning to protect your property could be a Fire Risk Analysis whereby the vulnerability of your assets to bushfire is assessed and rated according to the level of that threat and the abiity of the asset to cope with it.
Assets may include people, livestock, roads, buildings and resources such as dams and tanks.
Hazards to your assets are identified and rated as well. Hazards may include grass areas, timbered areas, perhaps even a single tree, and may be further affected by features such as slope and geology.
ABAC will translate your Fire Risk Analysis into an Asset Protection Plan which will outline methods for minimising the risk from bushfire.
